Valerie earned her certification in personal training in 2013 and completed her 200 YTT in 2017 at Johns Creek Yoga. After the birth of her first child she found it very difficult to lose weight and more difficult to find acceptance from those in the fitness community. When she was able to accomplish her weight loss goals with training for a half marathon and weightlifting she wanted to learn all she could to help others achieve their goals with compassion and positive reinforcement.
In 2013 she was introduced to yoga. Initially she used yoga as a supplement for weight lifting. Slowly and surely the realization that there was more to yoga than just stretching was apparent. She is passionate about helping others see improvement in their personal growth as much as physical growth. Yoga is a wonderful way to accomplish both.
Her teaching style is a basic approach to yogic breathing exercises and postures with light accompanying music at a slow to medium pace.
