Our Classes
We offer a variety of Hatha Yoga Classes which emphasize the union of mind, body and spirit through movement. Among the many benefits you can expect are:
- Improved strength, stamina and flexibility
- Better athletic performance for runners, swimmers, golfers, and tennis players whose muscles tend to contract and tighten over time.
- Increased ability to focus in the moment
- Release of tension and anxiety
- Smooth and efficient flow of energy throughout the body
- Because of the Coronavirus and recommendations to shorten social interactions, all classes will be 50 minutes unless otherwise indicated.
All Levels
A class suited to all levels to build familiarity with the postures and basic principles of yoga. The emphasis here will be on careful alignment, breath and body awareness, optimal posture and body mechanics. Students experience the meditative benefits of yoga through linking of breath with movement. This class promotes strength, balance, flexibility, and stress reduction.
Gentle
This class focuses on gentle and restorative postures, yogic breathing, and guided deep relaxation to reduce stress and increase movement and vitality. It is designed for students who prefer a less vigorous class or who simply need to unwind after a long day. Gentle Yoga is also ideal for students experiencing illness, injury, or chronic pain.
Intermediate
A class for students who have a basic understanding of yoga postures and alignment. Intermediate classes offer an opportunity to deepen your practice. Here you will have the chance to learn more advanced poses, including backbends, arm balances and inversions. You will explore techniques of Pranayama (breath work), and you will be introduced to some of the philosophical ideas that inform this ancient tradition..
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, fascia, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, and poses are usually held for 5 minutes or more. Please note: Although Yin Yoga is passive, still and meditative, it is not Restorative yoga. The sensation of Yin is intense and sometimes uncomfortable, while the nature of Restorative is deep relaxation of muscles and body.
Grounded Kids Yoga Age 7-11
The Grounded Kids Yoga program is centered around a series of specific yoga poses rich and detailed in technique yet presented in a wholesome, light and humorous manner so that even the most hesitant will become grounded and embrace the elevating aspects of yoga. We balance the seriousness with playfulness and include games, songs and guided visualizations in our classes. Our poses serve and honor the individual by providing specific tools for calming down or increasing energy, lightening up or centering through focus & balance as well as the wisdom to know when each is appropriate.
Meditation and Pranayama
This one hour class focuses on balancing the Prana (energy) body with breath work and meditation. The complete integration of these more subtle limbs of yoga will promote relaxation, alleviate stress and encourage deep exploration of your own psyche. Come learn the magic of the Prana body, increase your personal radiance and vitality and dive into the depths of consciousness.

Pregnancy brings about many physical, emotional and mental changes. This class offers safe and effective Yoga-based movements to the expectant Mom to help her navigate this amazing time.
